Beware The Ides of March
- Thin cloth headband (I don't recommend a plastic one, because it will be more difficult to attach your leaves)
- 2 packs of leaves, attached to wire (gold paint+green leaves=bronzy. For a more pure gold, or if you want to try colors, opt for plain white. These can often be found in the wedding section of craft stores.)
- Gold spray paint (or, any color of your choice if you want to get non-traditional)
- Optional: thin ribbon (this can be hot/fabric glued on the inside of your headband after you attach the leaves to cover up the wires. I didn't end up using it because the wires didn't bother my hair, but try it out and see what you prefer. I also recommend something like a velvet ribbon, so it won't be too slippery!)
Have the very two middle leaves angling down for the best effect. At this point, the wire from the last leaf will have to show, so make sure that it's fully spray painted and wrapped neatly. If you're worried about the leaves not staying in place, you could hot/fabric glue the leaves into place. You can also go ahead and affix the ribbon, if you would like to cover up your wires.
If you see me tomorrow night out at a bar, I guarantee you I will have this on! If you make one, I'd love to see! Put a link in the comments, send me an email (the little envelop in the sidebar!), or tag me on Instagram! You can find me @littledenblog. Have a great weekend, see you Monday! Cheers, Rachel
